September 2017 Henderson County Family and Consumer Sciences Newsletter

Fall is on the way and we have some classes scheduled!

Upcoming Classes -

September 26 - Hidden Foods

Did you know there is a way to hide foods you don't like in things you do like, that just happen to be delicious and healthy! For example, you say you don't like spinach but what if I told you that I could hide it in bread. You taste the bread and never taste the spinach! Now you have one more veggie in your diet! Choose 11:15 a.m. OR 5:15 p.m. session. You must register by calling the Extension Office at 270-826-8387. Class size is limited! This class will be held in the Extension Education & Expo Center Kitchen (3099 Zion Road - behind the main Henderson County Extension Office at 3341 Zion Road)

Mark your calendar - Friday, September 15 is the 2017 Senior Expo! 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Extension Education & Expo Center. Hear some great speakers and visit booths that will have resources for seniors. You do not need to register for this event!

Taking Control of Your Diabetes begins on September 20, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  This is a series of 4-classes (September 20, 27 and October 4, 18) and will be held in the Henderson County Extension Service meeting room. You must call the Extension Service at 270-826-8387 to register.
